Pastor Michael in conversation with Immanuel’s church Librarian, Janessa Driedger. They discuss the new book "Tell Her Story" by Nijay Gupta and others that may be helpful for people exploring the question of whether or not women are permitted Biblically to lead / pastor the church, and share their own journeys on the topic.

Joy Lan is new to Canada and a newcomer to our church family. At a recent church supper she shared her story of growing up in China, motivated by a desire to achieve, only to find life missing something. When she was in university, she met a group of young adult Christians from Hong Kong who loved her and shared the Gospel with her and helped her discover what she was missing. We hope you’re encouraged by Joy’s story of coming to faith in Christ and experiencing His love at Immanuel.

Three views of the nature of Hell are introduced and explored:1. Eternal Conscious Torment / Traditionalism2. Universalism3. Annihiliationism / Conditional Immortality / Terminal Punishment

Each view can be defended Biblically, but why does Pastor Michael think the third view may have the strongest Biblical case?

What will "Heaven on Earth" be like when all is said and done? A place of perfect peace, total holiness, and absolute beauty. The meaning behind the symbolic depictions of Revelation 21 & 22 is explored.

Jesus' coming judgment is a necessary part of His good and beautiful plan to completely eradicate all trace of sin and evil from Creation.
