    Jewish #OwnVoices

Welcome to the Indie Writer Podcast, where we talk about all things writing and indie publishing. Today we're excited to be talking to author Evalyn Broderick.

Evalyn is a pediatrician and author who was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. She cut her teeth as a reader on books by authors such as Tamora Pierce, Robert Heinlein, Ursula K. Leguin, and Anne McCaffery. Together with her undying devotion to Star Trek and Battlestar Galactica, this fueled her lifelong passion for science fiction and fantasy.

She is a proud graduate of the City University of New York, where she earned degrees in biology and chemistry before completing her MD Ph.D. When not writing, she enjoys crossword puzzles, epic games of trivial pursuit, and traveling.

    A message from Writing Bloc:

Since the recording of this episode, problematic social media posts made in the past by one of the authors mentioned during our discussion have been unearthed. Because of this, we want to take a moment to make it clear that Writing Bloc stands with all oppressed people, including Palestinians.
