Invisible Crimes: Human Trafficking in the US NCJA 10-14

    • 行政

Human Trafficking is considered an "invisible crime" as it can take place at any point, and anyone can be a victim or trafficker. According to Hope for Justice, over 1 million people in the United States are living in conditions of modern slavery. These conditions include sex trafficking, forced prostitution, domestic servitude, criminal exploitation, etc.

The North Carolina Justice Academy is dedicated to helping lower these statistics and to ensure the safety of the citizens of North Carolina and beyond. Listen in on this encore presentation as host Kirk Puckett is joined by Jeff Bolettieri, Bill Loucks, and Richard Schoeber. They discuss what makes human trafficking an invisible crime and how law enforcement can help the victims of these crimes.
