    In Today's Episode, We Will Concentrate On The Basics Of Meditation. How To Sit, The Best Posture & What To Focus On. Keep Your Meditation Cushions Ready And Join The Journey With In. Try these meditation steps and fundamental information given below, at least for a week. Think of it as a one-week meditation challenge. 

    Make a promise to yourself to follow these basic approaches the entire week while meditating. 

    What You Are Supposed to Do?

    Sitting is the best position for beginning the meditation. If you lie down, being an amateur you risk losing the attention and will fall asleep. Sitting in a calm position keeps you conscious and focused, and frees up your mind from caring about surroundings (like where to put your feet). 

    How It Works 

    Meditation is connected to bringing the mind to calm while keeping the body alert. All together for mental peace to happen, you ought to at first make your body calm. 

    To do that, you are supposed to sit in a particular position. While you are sitting, your mind will wander throughout from your aim while meditating. 

    To achieve mental peace, you should focus on any particular thing. This gives your mind a particular point of focus. You can do this by repeating a mantra or counting your breaths, loud out or within your mind.

    Are You Excited For The First Week? 

    Making your brain stop thinking is not possible, so meditation isn’t about that. Meditation is really about teaching yourself how to stop entertaining the thoughts that come by.

    The Steps: Plan, Sit, and Focus 

    Plan: 

    You should plan five minutes every day in the current week to meditate. 

    To make an everyday practice, these five minutes should be the same time every day. 

    Ensure that you will not be interrupted by anyone or anything during this time; turn your phone off and take out any noise that surrounds you.

    Sit: 

    Learning how to sit while meditating is one of the leading obstacles for most amateur meditators. 

    In any case, sit peacefully in a calm position. You can sit in a chair or bench with feet level on the floor or a cushion or without a cushion on the floor with legs crossed—any position is fine to the extent that you’re comfortable. 

    Sit up tall with your back as straight as possible, relaxing up to your shoulders down and back, extending your chest. Keep your head level, and keep a smile.

    Focus: 

    Pick a word that causes them to expect you to, like “Aum,” “Aum Shanti,” or “Shanti.” Repeat that word or short mantra carefully resoundingly or to you as you sit. 

     Pick something to focus on like a word, your breath, or the light which is sitting in the centre of your forehead behind the pineal gland. 

    Bring your awareness to your breaths, Every time you inhale, count till 4, hold it for 7, and then exhale for 8.

    Tips to Help You Along the Way 

    In case you are repeating a word or counting and lose track, don’t worry. Just bring your attention back to what you are doing. You would like to lose track of a portion of the time during the meditation. It is normal. What affects is that you don’t entertain it, rather return to your focus area. 

    Pick a time of day when you can meditate, maybe soon after you get dressed for the day or soon after you eat. 

    If you experience trouble sorting out a period or spot to think, consider meditating in your vehicle.
