MAKING DEALS WITH GOD This Is My Story

Are you making any deals with God right now? I am sure we have all been guilty of this at some point in life.  As a kid, I remember praying, "God if you get my parents to buy me these new pair of shoes, I'll be nicer to my sister." Or, God if you help me pass this test in Algebra, I'll read my Bible everyday.  Something along those lines.  I also remember a time, late in the evening, when I was a youth pastor in college. Driving one of the guy students to his house. He was newer to the group and  didn't believe in God.  As we drove, we discussed the existence of God.At one point, this young man added.... "Oh, ye,h if God makes a bird fly in front of your car right now, then I'll believe in Him!"AAANNDD, of course you know what happened next. Not even a split second after he utters this statement,  a huge bird actually flew right in front of the windshield of my jeep, almost crashing into us.  I'd like to say because of the bird incident that this young man professed faith right then, but  like most of us, he did not hold up his end of the deal.In this episode however, Ronnie Hopkins shares a deal that he tried to make with God. "If you keep me from going to prison, I'll trust you."  Wait until you hear the outcome!!!
