44 ~ Cody Ohem ~ From A Depressed And Broken Hockey Player To A Mental Health Advocate and Performance Coach
From a young age, Cody had enjoyed playing hockey. He had an incredible social life, an amazing family. 2 months later he found himself quitting hockey, quitting school and binge drinking almost every day. He didn’t want to get out of bed, isolated himself and snapped at anyone if they tried to help him. He was depressed and felt completely hopeless. The worst part was he didn't know why.
The first stop was the family doctor. With the help of his mom and dad, he went in there and unpacked how he was feeling to the best of his abilities. Without asking any more questions, the doctor wrote him a prescription for antidepressants and told him it would solve all his problems.
And that was the start of 3.5 years of seeing 30+ medical professionals trying to find an answer. He saw more family doctors, naturopaths, psychologists, psychiatrists and even saw hypnotists at one point. We hope you enjoy the episode!

41 ~ Cameron Underhill ~ Suicide in The Work Place, Driving Accident, And Suppressing Everything.
Meet Cameron Underhill. Cameron is the editor for the Mental Millennials podcast and a friend of Shelby's. The two met over Craigslist and haven't looked back since. Working and hanging out for most of the last year the two never really got to talking about Cameron's story. As the focus of their conversations was usually about the podcast or some sort of idiotic athletic activity, personal conversations were often missed.
Camerons story highlights his youth and dealing with suicide in the workplace. Early on in his life, he got good at suppressing his emotions and barring anything that didn't feel good. Fast track to 2017 and Cameron's life was changed forever by an accident he never thought would happen. We hope you enjoy the listen!
