    Throughout November, we give thanks, and a group of NCC students most deserving of our gratitude is the student veterans. On The Record hosts, Fredlyn and Gray, creates this panel to celebrate the veteran and military-connected community and encourage students, faculty and staff to learn about the different support systems and resources available for veterans and military-connected people on campus. In this episode, guests speaker Christoper Fountain, ’24, and Roger Staudenbaur, ’25, talk about encouraging people to learn more about how veterans help shape the campus community with their unique experiences, courage and dedication to inspiring change.

    Jokes are a great way to cope with stress and pressures, sometimes in a group of friends, where they create a fun atmosphere and lighten the mood. However, when a joke goes too far, it becomes a problem. In this episode, Professor of Psychology, Jon Mueller and Assistant Director of Multicultural Affairs, Karl Constant discuss jokes regarding touchy subjects like race or religion because it can be challenging to know where to draw the line.
