Patton’s Ghost Corps podcast is the true story told here by the WWII unsung heroes who cracked the Siegfried Line. The 20th Corp was named the Ghost Corp because they moved so fast and so often that the Germans couldn’t keep track of them. In December of 1942, one year into WWII the US government created the Army Specialized Training Program (ASTP) Over 3,000 bright young men were recruited. These men were promised a college education, and officer posts after completing their active service. They thought they were fortunate; they called the ASTP “Always Safe ’til Peace”. Shortly after they were recruited, the program was canceled and some were in the middle of basic training. They ended up on the front lines of WWII and were led by General George S. Patton. This was the 94th Infantry Division. In December of 1944, there were over 10,000 casualties in Europe within two months.

    There was no tank support.

    They were under-manned.

In this first season of the podcast Patton's Ghost Corp we will hear from the survivors, in their words, their stories, this is their war.
