In an age of outward, materialistic satisfaction, I chose to go inward to reclaim my zen. To find that essence inside of myself that I thought I had lost has been life changing. Not only has it changed the way I parent, it has changed every one of my relationships. The best relationship change has been with myself.

Walking the walk, even through the storms

Walking the walk, even through the storms

When we decide to do this deep dive and change our lives, it gets....weird. People throw all sorts of shade at you. It feels lonely at times. There are even times when the shade they throw at you doesn't make sense because you know you are doing what you say you are, yet people still squawk.

    Let them squawk. Do you.

What does it mean to believe in myself?

What does it mean to believe in myself?

Happy Wednesday! This question is a question that isn't asked nearly enough. It certainly got me thinking, after spending the last 3 days arguing with myself over whether I could push the publish button on my Patreon and making excuses as to why I couldn't push the button.

Have you asked yourself lately "What does it mean to believe in myself?"

    Transparency, growth and witchiness

    Transparency, growth and witchiness

I have a new office and gained an opportunity to review how transparent I am truly being with myself and society. Every day is an opportunity to stay the same or grow and evolve. When you set big goals, you know the ones, those goals where people around you are like "Really? I doubt you'll achieve that" the only way to actually achieve the goals is to be read to get uncomfortable, learn, and be flexible. There is a ton of self reflection in life. Being able to reflect on everything and call yourself out isn't easy. It is empowering and freeing. I discovered today I haven't exactly embraced and been vocal about my love for holistic life. Behind closed doors, I am the witchiest witch I can be. I love honoring nature, energy and basking in life fully through the use of so many different tools. Crystals, cards, incense and sage, meditation, yoga, and self awareness are just a few of the things I utilize daily.

In public, I don't share this information with people, unless I am 1000% comfortable with them. When I coach teens, I have to remember they are watching me always, so I best walk that walk. So tonight I realized I needed to come clean on my love of all things holistic and witchy, publicly. I incorporate all of this into my coaching, and if it doesn't jive with clients, that is ok. We can always take the science approach or whatever approach is comfortable with them. I wanted to make sure I am sharing who I am here and how I got to where I am. I am very intuitive and can't always explain how I know things. I just....do. Holistic, eclectic witchiness is a big part of who I am and has been for a while now.

I am who I am. I love to help people be who they are, wholly. If you would like to explore coaching options that I offer, please, by all means, head over to my website www.ryzempowerment.com and book a 30 min video call with me. I'd love to chat and learn what lights your inner fire and help you get to that goal. If you would prefer, you can also connect with me on my LinkedIn profile.

    An attitude of gratitude...

    An attitude of gratitude...

It is easy to tell someone to have an "attitude of gratitude". How many of us actually put into practice every day, that "attitude of gratitude"?

I didn't realize that I was starting to practice gratitude 10 years ago and then stopped. Gratitude has definitely been something that has to be actively worked on. So my attitude of gratitude ended up becoming a bit...um...snarky. It wasn't until 3 years ago that I really made gratitude my primary practice every day. When I don't find at least 3 things to be grateful for, I really feel the change in me. There really is a ton we can be grateful for every single day.

Gratitude helps maintain peace inside of me. When there is peace, I am calm. When I am calm, I am able to be more aware, more present, more focused and life is just...well...better!

I would love to know! Do you have a gratitude practice? Please feel free to share what you do to help yourself get through those moments of "Oh Em Gee" that happen in life and how you get yourself back to internal calm.

    Welcome to Peacefully Happy!

    Welcome to Peacefully Happy!

Here's the thing. I have no idea where this podcast is gonna go. I am going to let this grow organically. I do know that for the last 10 years, I have been going inwards and working on me. In all of that I have gained some awesome experiences, insights and my existence on this planet has become so much calmer than it was in the first 30+ years.

I will chat about what I have learned over the last 10 or so years that have helped me enjoy life more, helped me reduce my anxiety to levels where I don't need meds, help me in my relationships, my marriage, as a parent and most importantly, in my relationship with myself.  I might be a small town gal, but I have big dreams and I am truly enjoying every moment.
