Here is why I love this podcast. I am a research mycologist, but my interests are in no way related to anything dealing with humans. I find the human disease aspect of microbiology pretty dull, compared to say yeast evolution. However, for some reason I feel I must keep up to date on human related crap. Yay for Dr. Crislip, he makes the literature tolerable. Excellent distillation of interesting studies, deep knowledege of microbiology, and a nice smattering of basic research in addition to the applied.
