P2S - The Faerie Queene, Whispered
Places to Sleep is an ASMR-adjacent podcast with soft spoken or whispered descriptions of places, usually from fantasy books. This is the first episode of season two, after almost a year away. The pandemic started and I got overwhelmed. You know how it is. Rather than fixate on making something perfect I'm just going to make what I can, when I can. I hope that you enjoy this place to sleep.
I can be reached @Places2Sleep on Twitter, or places2sleep@gmail.com

Special Episode: gentle rain in the backyard
Listen to gentle rain and sit with me on the back porch as I describe a place where I find a lot of calm, in this special non-fiction episode of Places to Sleep. Places to Sleep: Neverwhere
I softly read you to sleep with place descriptions from fantasy and fiction. This episode's places come from Neverwhere, by Neil Gaiman (1997). Please note that I sometimes skip text to focus on descriptions. Places to Sleep: Lost in a Good Book
I softly read you to sleep with place descriptions from fantasy and fiction. This episode's places are a dream, a library, and a hill during time travel. Read from Lost in a Good Book, by Jasper Fforde (2002). I made it to episode 10!! I'm really pleased that there have been some improvements as I go, despite the casual format (recorded on my phone, in bed, when people are not in the midst of loud conversations on other floors of the house). I tried a new intro on this one. If you've listened to more than one episode I'd love to hear from you on Twitter: @places2sleep (🎶 is Lucky Stars by Podington Bear, from the Free Music Archive).

Places to Sleep: Redwall Abbey
I softly read you to sleep with place descriptions from fantasy and fiction. This episode's places come from Redwall, by Brian Jaques (1997). Please note that I skip a lot of text to focus on descriptions, so these are not accurate readings - just pleasant ones. This episode has some minor spoilers for Redwall. If you'd like to get in touch, I'm on Twitter: @places2sleep (🎶 is a sample of Lazy Morning by King Imagine, under a Creative Commons license)

Places to Sleep: Rolled&Told
I softly read you to sleep with place descriptions from fantasy and fiction. This episode's places come from Rolled & Told Volume 1, which is a collection of playable modules for Dungeons & Dragons, published by Quillion and Lionforge (2019). Note: I skip things all over the place to make it easier on the ears. If you'd like to suggest a book with lush description, you can do that @places2sleep on Twitter or here: https://anchor.fm/places2sleep/message
