02_Flight Language
Did you know that “ready for take-off” is kind of outdated and even led to a severe accident in Tenerife? Or have you ever wondered how pilots tell the tower that they want to approach their airport? If you're about to become a pilot or are simply interested in aviation: This episode will show you that it's an own kind of language.
This second episode is about flight-, and more precisely, radio communication with David, a soon-to-be gliding flight instructor as my guest.
His favorite word: Velocity

01_Abacaxi
This is the very first episode and there is so much we are talking about: Abacaxi, the myth behind the Guarana fruit, the Guarani people, cafuná (my guest's favourite word) and a bit more. Who I invited you ask? Well, my dear friend Vittorio. We know each other from our study abroad in Coimbra, Portugal. He is from Brazil, I am from Germany and we met in the seminar "A antropologia filosófica". The first episode starts off with the origins of the word Ananas (.. or ananás?)- how do you say pineapple in your language?
Without any further ado - give this very first episode a listen (and sorry for the mediocre quality, workin' on it!)

00_A Polycast Welcome & Disclaimer
This is a Welcome everyone to the Polycast - The podcast for polyglots and language nerds! Also, this is an "ALERT - DISCLAIMER". (Not because this podcast will not discuss polyamory, sorry! Though love is a language itself so I might reconsider this). Jokes aside: This is my very first podcast, I am super excited and a little frightened. The idea is to make the polycast become a platform to learn more about languages and spread enthusiasm about them (yeay). That is, their structures, how polyglots (= people speaking more than one language) acquire and process language, and basically anything else concerning linguistics.
Hope you'll like it!
There also is an in-progress Instagram page I started. If you want to check it out or get in touch this is your way to go www.instagram.com/polycast.thepodcast
