The namesake of the Robert Glasper Experiment has long kept one foot planted firmly in jazz with the other in both hip-hop and R&B. He has worked extensively with Q-Tip, is the music director of Mos Def’s touring band, and has toured with the multiplatinum R&B singer Maxwell. Yet his experiment has just begun.
