Season 3 Episode 27: Eric Reid; Miami Heat TV Play-by-Play Broadcaster Cam's Corner

(via nba.com) Eric Reid is an original member of the Miami HEAT. He enters his 35th season of calling the action for the HEAT and is among the longest tenured broadcasters in the NBA.



Reid has broadcast 2,472 regular season HEAT games during the franchise’s first 34 seasons, having joined the organization just prior to the team’s inaugural season in 1988-89. This season is his 46th consecutive year broadcasting basketball and his 32nd doing the play-by-play for the HEAT. Three times during his career (2017, 2018 and 2020) Reid has been named the Florida Sportscaster of the Year in voting done by his peers in the National Sports Media Association. Since 2005, Reid has won 20 regional Emmy Awards, including three for his play-by-play work in 2013, 2014 and 2015.



Reid also spent six seasons as the voice of the Providence Friars over the radio, including the team’s 1987 run to the Final Four.
