Since 2016, Teatea has been making music and releasing it online and in 2022 related her debut album Static. An emotive and introspective album, the album was mostly produced by Teatea and marks a great entry point into her artistry and showcase of her skills as a singer, songwriter, and producer. Recorded shortly after her performance at SilkFest 2022, this conversation explores her first experiences falling in love with music, coming into herself as a producer, emotional and creative process behind Static, and the power of collaboration.

In the first interview concerning the new album, Rob and Xay, producer of 8 tracks on the project, break down the extensive, and equally parts hilarious and dark context behind this album. Our longest episode acts as a perfect companion to the album itself,  which is now avaliable on all streaming services.

Stachy's music draws from a rich tapestry of inspirations, connected by her strong use of imagery as a songwriting and superior vocal abilites. Her newest single "Ride for You" is availiable on all streaming platforms.

    Akintoye: With Pizzazz

    “I’ve been rappin’ since I was 12, I’m 22, I’ve been making music for a decade.”

    For the past 3 years, Toronto artist Akintoye has been steadily rising in popularity, ability, and confidence. It all started at the beginning of the 2020 pandemic with a Tik Tok “Freestyle Challenge” that went viral. After Akintoye posted his submission to the challenge, the rest was history. Since then, his popularity has only increased.  He’s released 2 full length projects, a handful of singles, and even recently performed live at ScotiaBank Arena for the Raptors playoff run.

    Even though he’s reached a new level of accomplishment, Akintoye has no intentions of stopping. During this episode we discuss everything from Will Smith to Nigerian lifestyle, and anything in between.
