The Power of Forgiveness Winging it and Winning

    • メンタルヘルス

In this episode, I discuss what helped me rebuild my relationship with my mom. Growing up with a mother addicted to drugs made me feel lonely, abandoned, angry, and frustrated. Once I forgave my mom for her mistakes and she forgave herself, we were able to rebuild our relationship. Congratulations to my mom on her 10 year sobriety.

About the Podcast/Youtube

“Veronica Diaz: Winging It and Winning. It’s a Mindset” is a podcast/youtube channel highlighting people in society who have gone through many misfortunes due to social and economic placements. I want to highlight people who have gone through misfortunes but have risen above adversity to become successful. I will be discussing the key factors they used to help accomplish their dreams. I will also be discussing my journey through life and the mindset I used to create the life I want to live. I hope to inspire people through these stories and persuade my audience to follow their dreams as well.

About Veronica Diaz

“Winging It and Winning. It’s a Mindset,” is an expression I live by. It has helped me achieve many goals that I may not have accomplished if I did not take the plunge or fall into self-doubt. According to statistics, I should have ended up being a high school dropout, teenage mom, in an abusive relationship, and suffer from drug abuse. Thankfully I did not experience those things, and I attribute my life success to my mindset.

At a young age, I believed that I was in control of my destiny, living every day to create a life that I always dreamed of. I applied to college despite my low GPA and poor grades. I had to do a summer bridge program as a contingency, but I did it and was accepted. I applied for the Masters in Social Work (MSW) program despite my fear of not finishing because I felt like I was not smart enough. I got in and  with hard work, sacrifice, and consistency, graduated with my MSW.

When I make mistakes, I do not accept them as losses. I see them as achievements because mistakes teach me what does not work, which is just as important as knowing what does work. Life is hard, it has challenges but here I am,  winging it, and I’m winning. Thankfully I beat the odds; I want to encourage other people that they can too.
