There She Went was created by women for women. This is a safe space for women to connect, share their stories, and help encourage other women to live out their greatness.

I want to take a moment and introduce myself. I’m a life coach, wife to an amazing woman, ex-wife of a man whom I was married to for 15 years, mother, friend, employee, small business owner, believer of Christ, lifelong learner, and inspirational junkie. (I dare you to figure all of that out!)

My drug of choice is listening to people’s struggles and helping them find solutions for those struggles; hence, the reason for this page and this space. My goal with all of this is to help people think through common issues we all face and help all of us find workable solutions to those issues. My main methodologies will be sharing stories about my own experiences, venting over the mic about my lived truths, and discovering and unpacking the multitude of lies that may have helped or hurt me in the past.

By no means am I saying I have it all right or that I have all the answers. Hopefully, you won't walk away from this space thinking that I am presenting myself as some know-it-all, Ms. Fix It of Everything.

Prayerfully, you will find a safe space to laugh, cry, bemoan, and possibly shriek in horror at my willingness and openness to be judged for the sake of "helping" other people.

What I am saying is the answers we seek are out there and, together, we can achieve our wildest dreams if we have the courage to do so.

You Can Call Me Imah (pronounced eeeee-muh) :-)

    Quote of the day
“Now, no matter what background you come from, there is nobody in this world who can say that their life is without troubles. Everybody faces problems at some point in their life. All that matters is how you deal with it.” Shahid Kapoor
    Intro to the day’s topic
    Can you handle the transition?
Transitioning into something different can be a scary and/or refreshing. When I initially wrote this, I think I was experiencing a little bit of both.
In 2019 I made the painful decision to divorce from my spouse of fourteen and a half years.
I think that statement in and of itself deserves its own paragraph. The road to this decision was not an easy one or made in haste. I feel it only right to share with you, my tribe, of how this decision came to be and what the process has been like.

Intro. What You Can Expect from There She Went with Imah

Hi, all! Welcome to the There She Went Show, Intro Episode 1. I’m your host, Imah and I’m grateful you decided to listen to our show today.
But, wait, this is not a full show today. Yeah, no, it’s not. This is an introductory episode to peak your curiosity. No, seriously, I kinda want you to know what you are getting into. Sort of like a, “what can I expect from this show?” type of thing.
So, what can you expect? Life, liberty, and the pursuit of truth. You will get raw emotion, life lessons, questions about the journey, current ideas and stances on shit I think I know about, humor, therapy, and an all-around slamming good time.
I encourage you to keep listening as we will really get into it and get over it. Bye-bye for now, but we will speak again soon.
