Season 2 Episode 3: For the love season Shannon and Evan dip into this late ‘90s romantic comedy starting a staple of the podcast Drew Barrymore. Evan is convinced this is Mean Girls before Mean Girls. And you can’t change his mind. This is the cringest comedy before The Office. Shannon loves the soundtrack. What a surprise Evan didn’t. Who was in The Beach Boys studio? They both do some investigation. Is this film connected to Scary Movie? It might be. The new world age dating gap is on display. Do they judge? Yes, they do, sadly. Season 2 Episode 1: Guess who’s back? Back again! They are back, tell some friends. Shannon and Evan are back for season 2 with the biggest movie of all time. But to start things off, they are a fan of the first two Thor movies. Evan goes into full nerd mode about the final battle scene. Shannon dropped tears in a public place over the death of THAT character. They both explain why Black Widow was done a bit dirty. Who doesn’t love the Guardians of the Galaxy? We won’t spoil it here but one of the duo likes Infinity War more. Shannon has so many snacks from the film. And of course, you can talk about the MCU without going into all things Spider-Man. Trailer talk is back with The New Mutants. There is breaking movie in the MCU that’s old now but they give you the scoop. There is a new segment called WHY?! Evan goes off on the Golden Globes and he goes all-in on a serious issue that Hollywood has. For real, he loses his mind. He says all the things you are thinking about. Episode 7: Evan and Shannon are back with the season one finale. They go into movies they’ve seen this year. Shannon goes in on Hustlers and the outcome is a bit surprising. Evan shows off his love for Nick and Nora’s Infinite Playlist. Yes, there is some J LO Oscar talk. On the news that Doctor Sleep is getting a Blu-Ray director’s cut, Evan expresses some mega love for the theatrical version of the film. The Lego Movie 2 comes up because The Lego Movie something comes up every episode. Melanie Martinez is a topic of discussion and you’ll be like “what? Why her?!” Don’t worry they explain. Evan is sorely disappointed in Hobbes and Shaw. But he does spoil the two big cameos in the film. Cats, what is this?! Episode 6: Shannon and Evan head to Chicago to cover the Christmas Classic for the season. They clash over who’s fault it is for leaving Kevin home alone. Shannon shows her loves for the CBS classic Christmas features such as Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer. Evan gives ample evidence that this film is a fantasy and he will tell you why. Did you ever wonder where Kevin get all the instruments of injury? So do they. Evan loves Sixteen Candles and will keep bringing it up (because they haven’t covered it yet). How they get on the Disney sidebar is baffling but intriguing. Demi Lavato would stan this episode. In the Christmas spirit, Evan and Shannon go over their favorite Christmas movies.
