Season 2, Episode 3—This week’s episode features Ian Harvey, a Marlborough native and rising senior at UMass Amherst. Ian is currently serving as the Attorney General of the UMass Amherst Student Government Association and in this episode we cover what it is like to be involved in student government. Season 2, Episode 2—This week’s episode features Naval Reservist Matty Sargent, a historian, veteran, and lifelong Marlborough resident. Matty is researching our local veterans and their stories, as well as the city’s monuments and memorials. He joins us to share details of his work and his involvement with the Marlborough Historical Society.

In this first episode of our newest season, we interview Thalia Patino Molano from the Everett Youth Initiative Council to learn about how they involved young people at the local level, started the organization and about the activities of the Council.

We are back! In the fourth episode of Youth Voice Matters, Marlborough youth interview resident Tristan Niedzielski who is the former Executive Director of March for Our Lives Metrowest. He discusses how he became involved in gun violence prevention efforts and other issue-based advocacy.

In the third episode of Youth Voice Matters, Marlborough youth interview Samy, Anjie and Anoushka from the Youth Leaders Corps (YLC) of the Boston Area Rape Crisis Centers (BARCC).

The BARCC YLC is a group made up of 11 high school aged youth that learn about and create projects to educate their communities on issues of sexual violence prevention and healthy relationships promotion. They also work on developing the necessary skills to hold difficult conversations, as well as think critically about the roots of sexual violence and how it is perpetuated
