Zen Minded Men: Resilience with special guest Sõke Mark Aycock Zen Minded Men

    • 自己啓発

Welcome once again. Today Sensei Ellis and Sensei Gulley discuss the need for Resilience with special guest Sõke Mark Aycock, an accomplished Isshinryu Master (9th Dan), whose Martial Arts journey took an unexpected turn when he was diagnosed with Menier's Disease; a discovery that led to his development of Takumashii Te: a system of Karate designed to help those with physical challenges learn and apply the basic and advanced principles of Martial Arts despite their physical limitations. Soke was also recently diagnosed with Leukemia, but rather than let this latest challenge overwhelm him, he once again called upon the Resilience and indomitable spirit developed over a lifetime of Martial Arts training to meet this new threat head on. Sõke Aycock would like to acknowledge his wife Michelle, his son Kyler, and close friends and students Larry Koontz, David Carden, Heather Hughes, and a host of others to numerous to name for their continued support! There is also a Go Fund Me page set up by his friends and students to help cover the cost of Sõke Aycock's medical expenses at the following address: https://www.gofundme.com/f/gxkrad?utm_campaign=p_cp+share-sheet&utm_medium=copy_link_all&utm_source=customer.
