#14 - Coronavirus Racism: The Deafening Silence of Asian Americans Shoes Off Inside with MKT (fka The May Lee Show)

    • Society & Culture

For several weeks, “The May Lee Show”, a co-production of Lotus Media House and NextShark, has been covering the COVID-19 crisis from all angles, including the disturbing growth in racist attacks against Asians. They have been working tirelessly to monitor all developments using many sources in order to bring listeners and viewers the best information about the disease. Because of their commitment to good journalistic standards, they go above and beyond what other sources on social media are willing to do to verify stories before they report them. They also have been monitoring the activity of Asian American leaders, influencers and celebrities on the subject of rampant Asian xenophobia. Although a few have boldly stepped forward to condemn the racism openly, many others have remained silent. In this episode, May Lee and NextShark founder, Benny Luo, speak openly and honestly about the relative silence from high-profile Asians as well as the work they’ve been doing to cover the crisis in a deeper more meaningful way for the community.
