The Album Consumers are back again three strong, and have a lot of ground to try to cover this week. When you have such a plethora of options to choose from, how do you keep things organized? This week Greg, Scott, and Chris go deep on four very different records, and then quick digest and dissect a group of LPs so dynamic they might make your head spin.

Three minus One equals...fun! Scott was forced to take a PTO day from the podcast, so Greg and Chris decided to use the time to take a look back at Album Consumers history. Specifically, the pair took a moment to review the 60+ albums they have each presented to the group and each came up with a list of their 10 favorites. Which of their own records did they enjoy the most? Which have they developed a greater affinity for through this exercise, and which dropped off their respective radars? It's a great Album Consumers version of TL:DR, and a good starting point for anyone just hopping on board now.

The records that are being selected in the Album Consumers Project are getting more eclectic and more varied as the weeks and months roll on. Which is a very good thing for a podcast where discussing the albums you listen to is your primary sum and substance. This week Greg, Scott, and Chris weigh in on the merits of Afrobeat, late 70s/early 80s guitar rock, and the pros and cons of certain singers and vocal stylings.

Album Consumers Season 16 is underway, but before they can get to any of the new drops Greg, Scott, and Chris still have to discuss the finale of Season 15. Will Chris finally once more reach the precipice of album appreciation? I think we all know how that's going to work out. The first four of Season 16 cover a wide swath of sound that is both engaging and...exhausting? It's the end of another round of 36 albums for the Album Consumers, the 15th time we've gone around-the-world (so to speak). So, with end-of-season tournament voting ongoing, Greg, Scott, and Chris take some time and provide some critical commentary. What albums surprised them? What drops fell flat? Which member of the group had the most/least successful seasons? All of which leads to a deeper discussion about, after over 500 albums, what kind of criteria they're using when making selections for the group.

Call it a fresh start, call it a new beginning, but the Album Consumers podcast is back? Is it AC Season 2, or AC 2.0? Regardless, Greg, Scott, and Chris return and pick right up where they left off. They have a lot of avenues to pull from, as this week's listening features a diverse group of albums.
