    S&P Futures are flat to slightly higher this morning. On tap today will be host of comments from Fed officials as they attempt to provide clarity on their positions ahead of the release of the Fed Minutes tomorrow. The MSFT Build conference gets underway today. IBM makes AI announcements related to deals with CRM and Saudi Arabia. On the earnings from tech stock PANW & KEYS are moving lower after releasing beats yesterday. LOW is higher after releasing this morning. NVDA is releasing its earnings tomorrow afternoon In Europe, markets are lower as traders grapple with the idea that the ECB may be one and done in terms of rate cuts this year. Oil prices are lower by more than 1% with forward demand concerns in focus.

The FOMC Meeting notes to be released on Wednesday. In company news, Apple is expected to announce its iOS18 at next month conference, heard they have added OpenAI tech to their operating system. Elliott is said to have built a 1B stake in Johnson Controls (JCI). NVDA is releasing its earnings on Wednesday. In Europe, markets are higher with the protentional June rate cut in focus. Oil prices have just turned negative but remain in a tight trading range.

    S&P Futures are flat and rather non directional this morning. Markets will be paying attention to comments from Fed speaker and key corporate developments today. Fed Gov Waller typically creates market volatility when he speaks. In company news, Microsoft will offer cloud-computing customers the option of using AI chips from Advanced Micro Devices instead of Nvidia AI processors. RDDT announced a deal with Open AI and last night's earnings action was underwhelming. China announced its long await stimulus package to help shore up its property markets. In Europe, markets are showing weakness due to monetary comments from ECB officials on the path of interest rates. Oil prices are weakening this morning due to forward demand concerns.

    S&P Futures are slightly higher again this morning. Corporate earnings in focus as CSCO delivered a solid report last night. BIDU & JD are higher, DE is lower on earnings this morning. Key economic data point for today will be the Jobless Claims report before the bell, there is also a host of Fed Speak happening today. China is set to release reports this evening on retail sales and industrial production. In Europe, markets are softer as corporate earnings are weighing on those markets. Oil prices are weakening this morning due to forward demand concerns.

    S&P Futures are slightly higher this morning ahead of this morning Consumer Prices Index release. The annual core reading is expected to come in at 3.6% vs. 3.8% last month. Mester of the Cleveland Fed feels that it is too early to conclude that inflation is reversing. Markets have seen a host of positive AI announcements this week, the MSFT Build conference starts on Tuesday (5-21). After the bell today CSCO is set to report. Thursday morning, we have earnings reports due out from NICE, BIDU, JD and WMT. In Europe, markets are mostly higher due to corporate earnings releases and positive Eurozone GDP data. Oil prices have given up early morning gains and are now flat to lower ahead of this morning's IEA report.

    S&P Futures are flat to higher this morning with the pending release of the Producer Price Index in focus. Data is due out 1 hour before the opening bell and a reading of 0.3% expected. Tomorrow the attention will be on the CPI data. Fed Chair Jerome Powell is scheduled to speak at a conference this morning. The White House announced a slate of tariffs on China-made products ranging from steel to electric vehicles. In Europe, markets are flat to lower. Oil prices are slightly higher. OPEC released its monthly report this morning and kept is 2024 global oil-demand growth forecast at 2.2mbpd.
