Self-publishing in 18th-century Paris and London

Self-publishing in 18th-century Paris and London

Despite legal and technological hurdles, authors in the eighteenth century sometimes chose to publish works themselves. Their motives for doing so, and the means by which they negotiated the business of getting works printed, are the subjects of Marie-Claude Felton's lecture, delivered on 3 June 2014 in the Convocation House, Bodleian Library.
