Episode 14 | Money and Mental Health

TRIGGER WARNING: THE CONTENT DISCUSSED IN THIS EPISODE REVOLVES AROUND MENTAL HEALTH AND TOUCHES ON TOPICS AROUND: ANXIETY, DEPRESSION & SUICIDE.

    Karibuni to the Tume$ota Podcast.

Hosted by Abigael - The Disobedient Budgeter,  Pauline - The Indecisive Saver and Amira - The Impulsive Spender.

In the second last episode of the season, Pauline, Amira and Abigael touch on a topic that they had planned to discuss much earlier in May. The topic of Mental Health.

May is recognized as Mental Health Awareness Month and the girls felt like it was very important to address the ways in which money affects their mental wellness. Whether it's the lack of it, the pursuit of it or anything else in between.

The conversation gets deep fast but begins on a light note with 'Tumejam' and ends with a compelling challenge.

As usual, enjoy & get ready to go deep!

Episode 13 | C is for Corruption ft. CPA Evans Nguku

    Karibuni to the Tume$ota Podcast.

Hosted by Abigael - The Disobedient Budgeter,  Pauline - The Indecisive Saver and Amira - The Impulsive Spender.

This week's episode is all about a topic the girls love to hate - TAXES.

Being that Tax Season is upon us, the topic couldn't be ignored.
The girls even brought a guest who's more of an expert on the topic than they are .

The episode begins with the guest Evans jamming about what's been making him mad before he proceeds to discuss all things taxes with Amira, Abigael and Pauline!
Amidst the conversation you will hear lots of rants about how taxes in Kenya aren't being put to good use because of corruption.

Let's just say, brace yourself because this episode is ALOT!

On the bright side, if the topic of taxes is scary to you, this is sure to make it easier to understand just in time for Tax Season.
So grab and notebook and pen if you have to!!

PS: Don't forget to file your taxes before June 30th.

    Tumesota LAKINI Tunaomoka!

WE HOPE YOU ENJOY THE EPISODE!

    Karibuni to the Tume$ota Podcast.

Hosted by Abigael - The Disobedient Budgeter,  Pauline - The Indecisive Saver and Amira - The Impulsive Spender.

After a three week break, the girls are BACK and they're keeping it real about the setbacks they've been experiencing recently.

In typical Tume$ota Podcast fashion, the girls begin the episode by jamming, (Tumejam) before they proceed to talk about how life has happened in their lives and how they're dealing with the curveballs.

Of course, there's also a challenge at the end but overall, this episode is pretty much Amira, Abigael and Pauline bringing the audience and themselves up to speed as to what's been going on.

    Enjoy the episode!

If you're in a season of setbacks, you're not alone.
Your comeback season is around the corner.

Good news, Abby is back and this week's episode is the first of it's kind because it's virtual!

The episode starts off with the girls catching up, welcoming Abby back whilst jamming about the fact that they're not together in person.

Thereafter, in honour of Mother's Day that's coming up, the girls discuss the financial lessons they've learnt from their mothers and some of the things they'll do financially when/if they become mothers in the future.

In typical Tume$ota fashion the girls close the episode with a challenge!

    Bear with them and enjoy.
Hopefully, the girls will be reunited soon,
Happy Mother's Day to you and yours in the meantime!

    Karibuni to the Tume$ota Podcast.

Hosted by Abigael - The Disobedient Budgeter,  Pauline - The Indecisive Saver and Amira - The Impulsive Spender.

This week's episode Amira and Pauline are joined by a guest as they wait Abby's return and that guest is none other than Pauline's sister Grace.

The episode starts off with Grace jamming about a dreadful flight experience before the girls talk about  what it's like being a student in a pandemic and how one can make money while in school. Because Pauline and Amira aren't students anymore, Grace came to lend her voice since she's living the student life. They also have a phone-in call from Bradley who was supposed to be a guest but couldn't make it.

In usual, Tume$ota fashion the episode closes out with a challenge courtesy of Grace.

Enjoy the gems and the banter!
