Spring 2010 Distinguished Speaker Series

Successful collaborative management of natural resources requires a deep and authentic understanding of diversity on the part of the natural resource practitioner. With major funding from the James P. and Shirley J. O?\'Brien Diversity Endowment , SNRE is able to bring five distinguished scholars to campus to explore the role of diversity in natural resource management issues. The lecture series is coupled with a one-unit graduate seminar that brings together students and faculty from across campus to study principles, practice, and performance of collaborative decision-making applied to natural resources management. Additional sponsors include the Udall Center for Public Policy, the Institute of the Environment, the School of Government and Public Policy, and the School of Anthropology.
