The Reds absolutely dominated their South London opponents in the opening stages, but had man of the match Alisson Becker to thank in the end after the Eagles failed to capitalise upon their numerous chances during the second half, before Kevin Friend with the help of VAR awarded Liverpool a late controversial penalty to put the match to bed.

Liverpool are one of the clubs who are interested in a transfer move for Fulham teenager Fabio Carvalho, with the Reds keeping tabs on his development. Matt Addison joins Guy Clarke to discuss why a move might make sense, and why Carvalho could follow in the footsteps not just of Harvey Elliott, who also signed from Fulham, but also Kaide Gordon, Bobby Clark, Melkamu Frauendorf and Mateusz Musialowski. The 19-year-old winger is an England youth international, has scored seven times so far this season, and is out of contract at the end of the campaign. Enjoy

Another clean sheet from Liverpool’s impressive defenders kept the very attacking Arsenal line up at bay, with Caoimhin Kellher producing a few fine saves.
Curtis Jones lit up the middle of the park with his dazzling display, and a start for 17 year old winger Kaide Gordon has given Liverpool fans much to look forward to in the future.
