EP.8: Interview w The Winchester Podcast - Starting a Podcast and Pursuing A Project You Enjoy

In this episode we talk to the hosts on our favourite film/tv review podcast "The Winchester". Hannah Bird, Scott Paterson and Ben Bray are big film and television buffs who have fun debating movies and media of past and present. We chat with them about starting their own podcast around a subject they love; and why it's important to pick a project that you genuinely enjoy.

This was a very fun interview and we hope you enjoy listening!

EP.7: Interview with William Bündchen - Life as a Photographer

EP.7: Interview with William Bündchen - Life as a Photographer

In this episode we talk with our good friend William Bündchen - a portrait photographer who has published work in various magazines and other outlets.

Will gives us a breakdown of his creative upbringing and process. We talk about how to use the environments you are given, whether it's a living room in a tiny apartment or a studio. Will goes into depth about having to make sure his models are always comfortable and how he finds ways to create a mood or vibe for every project.

We also dive into whether or not we believe social media is a strong tool for creatives. And how to build a community rather than try to tackle a competitive industry all on your own. Will also mentions how difficult it can be as a creative to truly believe in your own work, and we dive into the age old tale of "imposter syndrome" as a creative - and how to overcome it!

Overall, this was a super insightful and fun interview! We hope you enjoy it!

EP.6: Interview w Your Paris - Collaborating as a Couple, Marketing Yourself Online and Playing to Your Strengths

EP.6: Interview w Your Paris - Collaborating as a Couple, Marketing Yourself Online and Playing to Your Strengths

Sorry for the delay with this episode! It was filmed in mid February but it is out now.

In this episode we talk to long time friends Nick and Laila of Your Paris. They tell us what it is like being a couple and pursuing music together. We also touch on how important it is to play to your strengths.

My favourite part of this interview was how in depth Nick and Laila go about their strategy with marketing themselves online! They mention how creating a full length album is no longer a sound strategy as an artist unless there is a serious demand for it. Instead their focus is promoting themselves online in a modern digital era!

We had a ton of fun and learned a lot talking with Your Paris! Our only hope is that you can feel the same way! Cheers!

EP.5: How to Work Together as a Creative Couple!

EP.5: How to Work Together as a Creative Couple!

For this lockdown Valentines Day special we talk about being a creative couple!

We break down why starting a podcast together was a healthy project to take on together. We also get into how we push and inspire each other to take on our own creative endeavours. And we also come up with some other fun ideas for any couples out there!

The biggest take away from this episode is how two very different creatives can come together to mesh their skills into one. Creativity can come together in many different forms and that is very exciting!

Thanks for joining us on the podcasting journey and we hope you enjoy this fun V-Day episode!
