02.08 | On Healing Through Plants + Art with Ashley from RejuveNATE
Today's guest is Ashley Searing. She teaches kindergarten and owns RejuveNate - Plants & Wellness. RejuveNATE debuted in July 2020 after she lost her brother Nate to mental illness in February 2020. After Nate passed, she wanted to do something to reach people who may also struggle with similar things in their life so she created RejuveNate. They therapeutically hand-paint all the pottery that comes out of the shop and pair them with plants to bring awareness to mental health & to instill positive outlets into people's lives to combat symptoms.
Ashley shares her story and some tangible advice for simple self-care and mental health aids. We get a little spiritual and discuss the signs we get from the "other side", and overall just keep it real and raw about mental health.

2.04 | On Mental Health and Accessing Your Confidence with Sydney Mongaraz
Sydney Mongaraz is a local entrepreneur born and raised in Kankakee County. She is a specialized luxury boudoir photographer with a studio in downtown Kankakee. Below her studio, she co-owns Roze Lingerie Boutique with her fiancé Aaron. She is a life-long creative who started her photography business at the age of 17 after taking a photography class in high school. She continued her studies in photography at Columbia College in Chicago for a few years but later dropped out to pursue self-education and build her career.
Sydney has photographed over 200 women in her studio giving them an empowering experience to boost their confidence. She loves being everyone's hype woman and new best friend. She knows how hard it is to build confidence, love your body and feel comfortable owning your sexiness. Through her photography and boutique, she helps women rock their confidence and empower them to end their self-hatred.
When Sydney is not working, she enjoys shopping boutiques, Starbucks runs (daily to where even the workers know her name), building Pinterest boards for her farm fixer-upper, spending time with family & friends, and a good cuddle on the couch with some Netflix.
