We did it! We have reached the end of John's Gospel and one of my favorite chapters in the Bible - John 21. There may not be a more dynamic and symbolic relationship in Scripture than the one between Jesus and Peter. It represents so much of the interaction between God and humanity.
Some of Peter, the good and bad and ugly, lives in each of us. So, it is all that more dramatic and profound that one of the Savior's first acts of redemption on His journey to repair the whole world is to come back for His apostle and friend, Simon Peter.

Two important figures are highlighted in John 20. One is often overlooked because she is a woman. The other is often judged because he needed proof. Mary Magdalene is the first witness and proclaimer of the single greatest event in the history of the world, the resurrection of Jesus Christ!
