"I'm Speaking" is a take on (now) Vice-President Kamala Harris at the US VP debate with (then) VP Pence as she had to say "Excuse me, I'm Speaking" when he kept interrupting her and cutting her off. This term became famous for a lot of women and I thought it was fitting since this is a podcast and I'm literally 'speaking' my mind on women in business as well as being an introvert and a highly sensitive person in life and in business in an 'extroverted' and 'non-sensitive' world.

A lot of my episodes are 'Love Letters' to Introverts and Highly Sensitives.

Ep 107 Welcome to the Summer of Self-love! | Putting Myself First (and How It's Changing My Life!)

Ep 107 Welcome to the Summer of Self-love! | Putting Myself First (and How It's Changing My Life!)

Hi lovely...thanks for listening! I usually put myself last so putting myself first is (and always has been) unthinkable for me. In this episode I speak about how I’ve been taking walks *first in the day (or at the earlier part of my day) vs last in the day and how it has made such an impact (in a great way) in my life! :) We’re starting the Summer of Self-love Right with Putting Ourselves First! I talk more about this on my newsletters or my ‘love letters’ (as I like to call them). ;) Wanna get my newsletters? Here’s the link to join the list! —> www.westelizabeth.com/newsletter. I hope you enjoy this episode and that it helps you in some way, shape or form. I podcast for love of connecting with others, encouraging others and sharing information with others. Cheers to speaking up and for making your voice heard! 🗣 Sincerely, Elizabeth

    Ep 106 Self-care Is Not Self-ish

    Ep 106 Self-care Is Not Self-ish

Hi lovely! Thanks for listening! I have to remind myself of this every so often…that self-care isn’t self-ish. It’s tough as hell sometimes isn’t it? We don’t wanna be seen as ‘mean’ or ‘rude’ or ‘selfish’ for goodness sakes. We don’t wanna be seen as excluding others either but when you think about it we’re actually excluding ourselves. The Tonya Dalton quote “when you say yes to someone else, you say ‘no’ to yourself”. This is so true. So a good giveaway to see if you’re feeling disingenuous is if you’re in fact you’re saying no to yourself and if the answer is yes then you gotta reevaluate what you’re doing because ‘self-care is not self-ish’. And another great quote by Iyanla Vanzant is “what’s in our cups is for us, what’s overflowing (in the saucer) is for everyone else”. I talk more about this on my newsletters or my ‘love letters’ (as I like to call them). ;) Wanna get my newsletters? Here’s the link to join the list! —> www.westelizabeth.com/newsletter. Ep 105 “What Others Think Of Me Is None Of My Business”

Ep 105 “What Others Think Of Me Is None Of My Business”

Hi lovely! Thanks for listening! “What Others Think Of Me Is None Of My Business” — quote by Robert Kiyosaki. When I first heard this quote, I immediately fell in love with it. :) And everyone who I’ve mentioned it to also falls in love with it and starts to use it when they’re ‘in their head’. It’s interesting because none of us will really know what others truly think of us by ‘imagining’ what we think they ‘may’ think of us. But yet we always assume the worst (most times) on what others may think of us don’t we? I hope this quote helps you as much as it has helped me. Whenever I’m ‘in my head’ I think about this quote and it immediately helps to get me out of my head. ;) We’re our worst critics and we’ll always care what others think of us (or what we think they think of us) until we pass I’m sure but whenever you’re/we’re going down that ‘negative rabbit hole’ I suggest remembering this quote. :) I talk more about this on my newsletters or my ‘love letters’ (as I like to call them). ;) Wanna get my newsletters? Ep 104 Learning to Reward Myself

Ep 104 Learning to Reward Myself

Hello lovely! Thanks for listening! Are you an ‘over achiever’? Do you reward yourself or give yourself a pat on the back for what you’ve accomplished? The most of us don’t. And if you’re a woman and/or a neurodivergent and have ADHD we’re always ‘on to the next’ aren’t we? I am rewarding myself right now but it’s not easy. For the most of my life I didn’t reward myself ever or even know where to start. (And it’s different for everyone.) Hint. It’s usually what fills our cups and is hand and hand with self-care. ;) I’m learning to reward myself more and give myself a pat on the back for what I *have accomplished instead of thinking “what’s next?”. ;) We’re all works in progress y’all and I’m sure I’ll/we’ll always have to remind myself/ourselves of this until I/we pass. But at least we can start small and start today. :) I hope this episode helps you in reminding yourself to also reward yourself for what you’ve accomplished and to relish more in giving yourself a pat on the back as well. :) I talk more about this on my newsletters or my ‘love letters’ (as I like to call them). ;) Wanna get my newsletters? Here’s the link to join the list! —> www.westelizabeth.com/newsletter. Sincerely, Elizabeth

Ep 103 My Day Job Is My Angel Investor for my Side Hustle

Ep 103 My Day Job Is My Angel Investor for my Side Hustle

Hello lovely! Thanks for listening! This episode is short and sweet and is something that I needed to hear myself right now. :) From time to time I get impatient with not being my own boss already, being self-employed and being a Content Creator and Podcaster full-time. I have to remind myself that my day job is an Angel investor for my side hustle. It’s allowing me to not only have a roof over my head and food to eat but to also pay for things like a website and podcast tools and software for example. I hope this helps you if you’re also getting impatient with not being where you want to be already. ;-) I hope you enjoy this episode and that it has helped you in any way. Sincerely, Elizabeth

Ep 102 It’s Okay To Change Your Mind

Ep 102 It’s Okay To Change Your Mind

Hello lovely! Thanks for listening! In this episode I speak about how “it’s okay to change your mind”. I heard Oprah say this on her television show back in the day and I remember everyone in the audience gasping as was I. Even at my young age back then I didn’t know that I could change my mind! Crazy, right? Well we can. :) Recently I felt lost because I thought ‘this is it’ I can “kick-back” now when my instincts were like “oh no…you can’t stay here long, this is not the place for you”. After being shell shocked, confused and then a little depressed… I slept on it and I realized that “it is okay for me to change my mind.”. (You may hear some sounds in the background as I’m outside.) I’m focusing on the ‘done, not perfect’ approach. ;) I hope you enjoy this episode and that it helps you to realize the same…that “it’s okay to change your/our minds”. ;) Sincerely, Elizabeth
