Regardless of which stage your business is in, photo shoots have the potential to provide a lot of value. We go over the benefits of participating in them. And while difficult to advise, we touch on the question of budgeting for them.

Pricing. We get asked often what to charge, how to charge, and how to turn a profit.

Pricing, for some reason, is difficult to talk about. It shouldn’t be. There is an industry standard on flower markups, it’s no secret.

The hard part is doing your homework- Getting market knowledge, building relationships with your supplier, working on flower/supply budgets, etcetera. Knowing the market, and knowing your market is the key here.

In this episode, we discuss ways (ways that have worked for us) to help keep the business profitable. Also, solutions to common mistakes we hear from other florists.
