Dancing is a great way to express yourself even if you're not conscious about it. For me, it became source of immense joy and freedom.

Seeing anybody do what they do best is just beautiful.

The documentary and biopic film of Diana Nyad's story fired me up.

Her 5th attempt in 2013 @64 y/o, with the support of her team, her coach and bestfriend. They embarked on another try. After 53 hours, 110 miles almost 3days of swimming, she made the impossible possible.

Nyad asked herself, am I living the life that I can admire?It's not what I want to do but am I everything who I want to be?

Nyad's story is incredibly amazing and inspiring. My takeaway is to what ever shore there is you want to get, get there. Find a way to get there.

This year I have no goals. Of course I do, It's not the regular new year's resolution we say every year - but never really follows. I stopped doing that. I say, I will continue to do whatever I'm doing.

Growing up, I didn't have a voice. I cannot speak my mind when I want it too. I often get frozen, but something in me has changed in the last 6 years.

It's fascinating what we can learn , It is our responsibility to ourselves to do the work. As my favorite poet and writer Dr. Maya Angelou once said, "when you know better, you do better". I

2. Create a budget and review it often

3. Calculate your Net Worth (= sum of all your assets - liabilities)

4. Build an emergency fund

5. Start investing (EF is a priority first then invest)



How to Budget

1. Necessities: 6 months average

2. Saving/Investing: 10-15% of net income

3. Fixed costs: same amount every month

4. One-off: depending on the month

5. ADJUST to get to income-expense = 0
