The San Francisco Giants beat the Pittsburgh Pirates today 3-2 as they closed out their longest homestand of the season with a win at Oracle Park. Keaton Winn drew the start for the San Francisco Giants in this one, and delivered yet another excellent performance, collecting his third win of the season. Mike Yastrzemski and Thairo Estrada hit back-to-back solo home runs in this one to give Keaton Winn some much-needed run support.

The San Francisco Giants fell tonight to the Pittsburgh Pirates 4-3 in their first extra-innings affair of the 2024 season. Though the squad failed to pick up the win, Jordan Hicks was dominant again on the hill for the San Francisco Giants as he posted a season-high nine strikeouts over six innings pitched. After the Pittsburgh Pirates took the lead on back-to-back home runs in the top of the 10th inning, Jorge Soler brought the Giants within one run after launching a bomb of his own over the left field fence. The San Francisco Giants will attempt to get back in the win column tomorrow in the rubber match of this three-game series.
