Washington is reloading the secondary in a major way
The Washington Huskies are reportedly close to earning a commitment from Sacramento State safety Cameron Broussard, who made the All-Big Sky first team last season and would be a big acquisition for Jedd Fisch's team and Steve Belichick's defense, adding great depth to the secondary and earning a win over the Michigan Wolverines on the recruiting trail. Washington's top overall target in the 2025 class, five-star cornerback Dijon Lee, also cut his list to four schools on Thursday: Alabama, Georgia, Texas A&M, and Washington, which will be an important gauge of success as cornerbacks coach John Richardson and Washington's entire staff pushes to secure his commitment.

The Washington Huskies continue to search for offensive line help
The Washington Huskies still need help along the offensive line, and head coach Jedd Fisch and offensive coordinator Brennan Carroll have handed out some offers, including to junior college All-American Maximus McCree, who is expected to take an official visit to Seattle soon and four-star 2025 prospect Malachi Goodman. Fisch's staff is also vying after some of the nation's top prospects who are including the Huskies in their final lists, including the transfer portal's top available wide receiver Elijhah Badger, four-star linebacker Zaydrius Rainey-Sale, three-star cornerback LaRue Zamorano, and three-star safety Rylon Dillard-Allen.

Washington has changed the NIL landscape
The Washington Huskies changed the landscape of NIL when agreeing to a $2 million deal with one of the best college basketball players in the transfer portal, Great Osobor, and it won't just affect basketball. The deal will also certainly affect Jedd Fisch and the UW football team as the Huskies continue to look for offensive line help and quarterback depth in the transfer portal following the conclusion of spring practice before their first season in the Big Ten.

Danny Sprinkle is building something special at Washington
Washington Huskies basketball coach Danny Sprinkle is building something special on Montlake, and it's becoming more apparent after earning a commitment from a top 10 player in the transfer portal, Great Osobor, who he can pair with other talented players like DJ Davis, Zoom Diallo, Franck Kepnang, and Mehki Mason. Jedd Fisch also has a lot of work to do in the transfer portal to find a quarterback, a few offensive linemen, and potentially Arizona State wide receiver Elijah Badger as the Huskies are still looking to rebuild their roster through the portal and 2025 class, where Fisch's coaching staff has done a great job establishing relationships with players like offensive linemen Douglas Utu and John Mills, and safety Ladarian Clardy.

Top 10 Transfer Great Osobor picks Washington
Coach Danny Sprinkle and the Washington Huskies landed the No. 7 overall player in the transfer portal, Great Osobor, who committed to the Huskies over Louisville and Texas Tech, and played under Sprinkle at both Utah State and Montana State. Osobor gives the Huskies one of the better rosters in the Big Ten for the upcoming season, and also reshaped the NIL market, landing the largest known deal throughout college basketball where he will make a reported $2 million in compensation over his next year in Seattle.

Washington adds promising transfer portal pieces in multiple sports
The Washington Huskies added promising players from the transfer portal in both football and basketball, with coach Jedd Fisch adding defensive lineman Deshawn Lynch from Sacramento State, while coach Danny Sprinkle added Rhode Island guard Luis Kortright and Portland forward Tyler Harris to the roster. Lynch rounds out defensive coordinator Steve Belichick's front line, while Kortright and Harris both add promising depth as Sprinkle continues his pursuit of Great Osobor.
