Jesus continues teaching His disciples about the nature of the Kingdom of God through the parables of a lamp, a seed, and a mustard tree.

Jesus teaches the parable of the sower to those who will listen, and then privately explains the purpose of parables to His disciples and the meaning of the sower.

When Jesus’ sanity and authority are questioned, He responds by accusing them of blasphemy and calling those who do the will of God His true family.

There are three opposing forces in the midst of Jesus being on mission: the religious and political leaders, spiritual forces of darkness, the enemy force from within.

Jesus’ authority redefines our understanding of the Sabbath, and all of God’s law.

Jesus did not come to make sinners conform to religious rituals, but to make them altogether new.
