105: Horseback Riding to School & Running an Orphanage with Gabriel Encarnacion
Gabe is a legend on campus and a wizard with the languages. I had no idea his testimony was so intense, involving the near death of his brother. I loved hearing The Dark Angel's story, I hope you do too.

104: Creating Adventures in Odyssey with Paul McCusker
I am BEYOND thrilled for this episode. Adventures in Odyssey was the soundtrack to my childhood, and I grew to have so much respect for their unparalleled storytelling. Paul was one of the core team that lauched the show, and remained one of the key writers on the project. We talked about the origin of AIO and what it was like working on the show. I loved this conversation.

103: Miraculous healing, depression, & Alcoholics Anonymous with Brett Smith
(TW suicide) Brett’s story is jaw-dropping. Nearly every twist and turn is a testimony to the goodness of God through suffering. Brett’s Journey through Alcoholics Anonymous to clarity in the Gospel is absolutely fascinating, and I have never met someone so winsomely articulate the benefits and dangers of AA. This podcast is incredible, I am so grateful for Brett.

102: A Canadian professor at Boyce College on reading Great Books with Dr. Tyler Flatt
I ran into Dr. Tyler Flatt when he was giving a lecture here at Southern on how to read well. Since that is one of my favorite subjects, I asked if he would be on the pod, and he graciously agreed. We talked about his journey from Ontario Canada, to end up being a professor here, and about engaging with the great tradition.
Loved this conversation.

101: How Jimmy ended up in Africa and why our Missions need theology.
Jimmy Bledsoe is working with the Bevin Center at Southern Seminary to look at how theological education impacts missions and to inspire seminary students to become part of the Gospel spreading to the nations.
We had a fantastic conversation about how he ended up teaching in Africa, what took him and his wife back to Southern, and why deep theological training is so important to mission work. If you are at Southern, I highly recommend swinging by his office in the Bevin Center and saying hi.
