Integrated Faith Podcast Anthony Jarrell

Today's guest is my friend Alex! The Integrated Faith Podcast is about experiencing and following Jesus in all of life and sharing stories of people doing it. Alex has an amazing story. We talk about his testimony, mentors, discipleship foundations, the Holy Spirit, God's provisions, the adventure of faith, studying Information Technology (IT) in college, study abroad in Italy, missions opportunities in Israel and Papa New Guinea, going to Southern Seminary in Louisville, attending a majority African-American church, living in a majority refugee community, and now doing ministry to serve and disciple these communities. NAME CHANGE (SEE BELOW). On today's episode I have my friend Derrick on. We talk about discipleship, consistency in relationships, youth ministry, the career of nursing, and integrating faith in everything. 

Name change: while I had researched before launch, I just came across a church consulting organization that focuses on discipleship and calling training that has the same name Vibrant Faith. So, there's plenty of thematic similarity to this podcast, and I would like to honor them and change the name of the podcast. I was originally going for a broader name but I’m just going to rename the podcast after my new book of the similar theme. So it’ll be the Integrated Faith Podcast.

The Integrated Faith Podcast highlights people who experience and follow Jesus in all of life. Today's guest is my friend Zac who is a Pastor in the wonderful blue collar community of Johnstown, Pennsylvania and co-host of the Ezer Podcast. We talk about his upbringing where he was religious but it was not real to him. We talk about how a community of students in college showed him that faith in Jesus is real and can be experienced. It was the difference he needed. We discuss his education in English, poetry, the importance of storytelling in reading the Bible and living out the Gospel narrative, mentors who made an impact on him, compassion for people, dignity, and doing ministry in his community.
