Retail is Dead is a podcast where we talk all things retail as consumers and industry outsiders. We are fed up reading and hearing that “retail is dead”, when in our humble opinion it’s just getting exciting. We’re here for the ride and we’d love to share it with you. The highs, the lows, the failures and the new obsessions.

Ep. 8: Offline vs. Online with Sam Jones, founder of OOOOO.com
Welcome back to Retail is Dead; a podcast started in lockdown 1.0 as our answer to all the negative press around retail. We are fed up hearing that "retail is dead", when in our opinion it's just getting exciting.
Our eighth episode is all about physical vs online retail; possibly the most disruptive step to retail as we know it. However that doesn't mean that the two cannot exist together & complement one another. We talk about the brands and places that we feel are doing it well.
Our guest interview is with Sam Jones, the founder of social commerce site OOOOO https://ooooo.com. Think QVC meets Tik Tok & add some fun content. Sam tells about some of his fav brands & what he thinks about the future of retail.
As ever, thank you so much so much for all your support & feedback we really appreciate it. Don't forget to follow us on Insta @retailisdead_ or drop us a line at info@retailisdead.co.uk. Please don't forget to rate, review and subscribe on Apple or Spotify.

Ep.6 : Sustainability - The Circular Economy with Vanessa Jacobs (The Restory)
Welcome back to Retail is Dead. A podcast started in Lockdown 1.0 as our answer to all the negative press around retail. We are fed up hearing that “retail is dead”, when in our opinion it’s just getting exciting.
Our sixth episode is the first of a four part series on Sustainability. Whilst we would all agree we feel the pressure to be make more sustainable choices in life - use less plastic/paper, eat less meat or use less car travel, we aren’t so aware of the positive impact little changes in our buying habits could make.
Our aim is to raise awareness of the various solutions at hand and to talk about brands that are fighting the good fight whether it’s using more recycled/upcycled materials, turning waste into new products, offsetting the impact of their supply chain or giving clothes a second life.
Our guest interview is with the fabulous Vanessa Jacobs (@vljacobs) Founder and CEO of The Restory (@therestory_) www.the-restory.com, an on-demand aftercare service for shoes and handbags that can be found online as well as in physical concessions at Selfridges, Harrods and Harvey Nichols.
They are also this episode’s The Drop, as they have just launched Farfetch Fix by The Restory, a service that allows Farfetch customers to book a collection and get their items repaired from anywhere in the world: https://the-restory.com/farfetch-fix-services-list/
