I wrote this song, “Sign” about an unrequited former love, however NOW...it’s so fitting for the indigenous people of the Americas (North, South, AND Central), in such a real way to me. We LOVE our land, and just want a “SIGN” that we’re heard, yet feel crazy for continuing to beg for basic human rights on a land that our ancestors owned. 😖I have things to share, but in due time. In light of needing time today to reflect more, and SPEAK less due to processing grief.....a specially broadcasted message lays the foundation for my next weeks discussion on a VERY important, yet commonly hidden fact. It is LEGAL for police to MURDER “Blacks”, “African Americans” and any other melanated being under the US Jurisdiction. The sooner this is realized, the sooner things can be rectified.
