With today’s reading from Mark, we explore the challenge of following Jesus. How he invites us out of our cultural norms and into his Kingdom, and the choice offered to us, to chose to follow Him even in the face of opposition.

This week we return to the Book of Mark, Chapter 2, after a break between Easter and Pentecost.

Today We look at the story of Jesus encountering the religious leaders and their disagreement over the Sabbath.



Within this we find there is the invitation to deal with disagreements in a different way. And in reflecting on the Sabbath, the invitation to press pause and remind yourself that you are loved and designed for freedom.

Today is Pentecost and we look at a passage in the book of Acts and what makes this unique is the descent of the Holy Spirit.



The invitation this morning, that we can be filled with the Holy Spirit, that we can encounter a power outside of ourselves, a wonder inside and a universal message that changes us.
