    Episode 43-Pieces (1982)

    Episode 43-Pieces (1982)

1974: the world was shocked by the brutality of Tobe Hooper's The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. 1980: the world is enamored with the slasher with Friday the 13th. So what do you get when you combine those two? 1982's Spanish-American slasher/giallio Pieces, a movie that put gore at the forefront long before Saw.

Someone is carving up co-ed girls on campus with a large chainsaw and stealing body parts and it's up to Lt. Bracken to stop this maniac. But it won't be easy: the killer knows when to strike and where without police intervention. Along with his partner Sgt. Holden, pro-tennis player turned cop Mary Riggs and campus stud Kendall, Bracken must figure out who is building a human jigsaw before they complete their objective.

Does this film deserve its cult following? Why the hell does Bracken deputize Kendall who should be a suspect? Is Lucas enamored with Willard for his WWE approach with cops? Join us at CinaCult as we butcher our way through this hidden gem of 80's horror!

    Episode 42-Street Fighter (1994)

    Episode 42-Street Fighter (1994)

GAME OVER! We are BACK listeners with a redo of a "lost episode" with this weeks review of 1994's Street Fighter- a movie that should have worked considering it's casting but failed to impress audience's upon release.

When the evil mad M. Bison (Raul Julia of Addams Family fame) kidnaps hostages and demands a 20 billion ransom for their return, the world looks to Col. Guile (Jean Claude Van Damme) and his second in command Cammie (Kylie Minogue) to save them. Meanwhile Chun-Li (Ming-Na Wen) and her crew Balrog and Honda attempt to find Bison for Li's revenge while con men Ken and Ryu run afoul of Bison's arms-dealer Sagat (Wes Studi) and his man Vega.

Can our heroes overcome their different goals and work together to bring down Bison and his cohorts? Does this movie deserve its reputation as "worst movie ever?" Why the hell did the Hulk show up in a Street Fighter movie? Join Lucas and Cordell as we use our "hadoken" on this 90's cult classic.

    Episode 41-Prom Night (1980)

    Episode 41-Prom Night (1980)

Note* I wasn't aware of quality in which my microphone was working so at time I come off very hard to understand. I deeply apologize for this*

1980 was truly the beginning of the slasher genre. With Friday the 13th dominating the box office, other filmmakers were quick to realize there was money to be made in cheap low budget horror. Which brings us to tonights discussion of Prom Night starring Jamie Lee Curtis coming off the success of Halloween.

When a tragic accident leaves a young girl dead, 4 friends decide to keep their role quiet. 6 years later however a mysterious killer who knows their guilt stalks them as they prepare for the school prom night. Who is this masked maniac? IS the subplot about an escaped pedophile just pointless filler? Why is this film so damned long? Could this be the best Jamie Lee has ever looked in a horror film? Join Cordell and Lucas today as we dance through this 80's slasher classic.

    Episode 39-Spawn (1997)

    Episode 39-Spawn (1997)

We're back folks with a Lucas pick this time! We're talking Spawn from 1997: the film that probably should have ended toy collecting maker Todd McFarlen's career quite honestly...

When Al Simmons is betrayed, he strikes a deal with Hell ruler Malbolgia to avenge his name in return for leading Hell's army. But things don't go exactly smooth for Al as he comes to grips with his new destiny as a Hellspawn. When faced with the reality of what his purpose will do, Al must decide if he shall give in to Hell's wishes or become a guardian of justice while taking down old boss Jason Wynn and Malgolgia's lieutenant The Violator (John Liguizamo).

How does this rank in the pantheon of comic books films? Does it deserve its reputation as a god awful train wreck? Why is Lucas laughing at Cordell's suffering and disdain for this movie? Listen now as we violate this questionable piece of comic book cinema history and send it straight to Hell where it belongs....yay.
