Ep 3: Texas has 3 of the Top 10 Cities for Solar Production

Ep 3: Texas has 3 of the Top 10 Cities for Solar Production

A recent survey by Google of the Top 10 Cities in America with the best solar potential shows Texas has an advantage no other state can match: Three of the best cities in the country for solar production are in Texas.

The #1 city in the country is Houston, with San Antonio in 4th place, and Dallas checking in at 9th place.

The survey was conducted by Google using its Project Sunroof Tool, which shows the solar potential of individual rooftops across the country.

Houston, TX has the most solar potential of any U.S. city in the Project Sunroof data, with an estimated 18,940 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of rooftop solar generation potential per year. Los Angeles, Phoenix, San Antonio, and New York follow Houston for the top 5 solar potential cities.

If the top ten cities above reached their full rooftop solar potential, they'd produce enough energy to power 8 million homes across the US.

Ep 2: COSERV Solar Rebates available in North Dallas

Ep 2: COSERV Solar Rebates available in North Dallas

COSERV is offering a Solar Rebate Program paying $0.45 per watt of solar installed. Depending on the size of the system installed on your home you'll get a rebate check between $1,800.00 and $4,800.00 or more from COSERV.

Combine these rebates with other incentives like the 30% Federal Tax Credit and the Tifosity Solar rebate and you can save almost 50% on the total cost of installing solar on your home!

Putting solar on your home protects you and your family from future rate increases for electricity, which can save you thousands of dollar in the coming years.

Installing solar also increases the value of your home! Statistics show solar increases the value of your home by just about the same amount as you paid to have it installed. This means installing a system valued at $20,000 will add about $20,000 to the value of your home. It's also been shown that a home with solar installed sells in half the time of a similar home that doesn't have solar.
