نتعمق في سقوط بابل الموصوف في رؤيا ١٨، مشيرين إلى أن العديد من الصور والتعبيرات لهذا الأصحاح الرئيسي مأخوذة من أقوال الدينونة في العهد القديم، وخاصة تلك من النبي إرميا. ونؤكد أيضًا على حقيقة دينونة الله، وقيامة الأموات، وكيفية تقديم ذبيحة المسيح لله في القدس السماوي مرة واحدة وإلى الأبد. نقرأ اليوم رؤيا ١٨-٢٠، عبرانيين ٩-١٠، وأمثال ٣١: ٢٦-٢٩.
Day 364: Christ's Sacrifice Once for All
we dive into the fall of Babylon described in Revelation 18, pointing out how several images and expressions of this key chapter are taken from the judgmental oracles in the old testament, particularly those from the prophet Jeremiah. we also emphasize the reality of God’s judgment, the resurrection of the dead, and how Christ’s sacrifice is presented to God in the heavenly sanctuary once and for all. Today we read Revelation 18-20, Hebrews 9-10, and Proverbs 31:26-29.
I am reading using the Arabic Jesuit Catholic version from Holy Bible App which can be accessed on the app/website. You can also listen to the Bible in a Year podcast in English with Fr Mike Schmitz who did an amazing job. I am using lot of his comments in my reflection as well commentary from different trustworthy resources.
The Bible contains adult themes that may not be suitable for children - parental discretion is advised.
