From being a former modified racer to being Jeff Gordon's Crew Chief for three Cup Championships to being an analyst on all of the networks to now being an avid car collector and automotive consultant, Ray has done it all and has plenty of stories to tell - including being able to confirm that yes, there was a moonshine cave at the North Wilkesboro track. This week on Never Stop Driving Larry is speaking with Dave Hord, who is a tour director for classic car multi-day driving events. Dave began his career in route-planning more than a decade ago, sketching out long-distance tours accessible to a broad range of vehicles and enthusiasts. His passion for travel in classic cars stems from a lifetime's obsession with Volkswagen Beetles, which he restores, modifies, and often uses to scout course routes. Thanks to an event calendar of 12-14 events per year, he’s become an expert of roads and event routes. He regularly logs more than 60,000 miles a year all over North America, virtually all of it done behind the wheel of vintage automobiles.
