ChorkorHeights releases the fourth episode of the Py Says Show podcast titled “The M.anifest Chronicles” on 1st April, 2013. For this show, the entertainment and music audio podcast breaks away from the more familiar format to allow an in-depth and exclusive interview with M.anifest, an emerging hiphop artist who recently moved back to Ghana after launching a successful music career in Minneapolis, USA.
The show format is structured differently to focus on and explore the milestones in M.anifest’s career thus far, fitting the narrative to a soundscape. Songs are picked from Manifest’s first album “M.anifestations” through to his more recent works such as Makaa Makaa, capturing the key drivers of his advancement in the music industry as well as the artiste’s observations over the period of his development. The interview gives a unique perspective to M.anifest’s coming of age as a young African hiphop artiste.
Following the theme of the interview, co-host Agnes Ntow in the Chale Wassup segment offers listeners an appreciation of the fierce competition between Ghanaian hiphop artistes in the upcoming VGMAs, Ghana’s premier music awards ceremony. And the Street Mix features a mix from a New Zealand/Canadian duo by the name Skii Tour.

As usual the podcast kicks off with a selection of songs by three (3) artistes from the African continent and Diaspora in the Threesome segment. For this episode it begins with “Versatility” by BLACKUP, an emcee of Ghanaian heritage based in Chicago and the female emcee XTATIC from Kenya with “Let’s go Wild”. These two artistes’s music boast of an unadulterated urban and hip-hop swag that has always been associated with the hip-hop genre. “Cindarella” by the silky smooth David Jay, a singer with Gambian roots based in Denmark ensures that the theme of this podcast is never lost. Agnes Ntow introduces the highly anticipated Track of the Month from Ghana along the journey. The episode’s Street Mix, a period of uninterrupted hits cooked up by a different DJ for each show is served courtesy of DJ Stackz. In line with the theme of sex and intimacy, DJ Stackz’ slow-tempo and groovy Zouk collection is ideal for the lovers who tune in.

Nana Darkoa breezes through the subject matter of sex and the deeply rooted attitudes and stigmas within African society while explaining her vision coined as “sex-positivism”.
