🕵️‍♂️How can I get rid of Imposter Syndrome?🕵️‍♀️

🕵️‍♂️How can I get rid of Imposter Syndrome?🕵️‍♀️

Imposter Syndrome is something that over 70% of people experience throughout their career so you're not alone!

Last week I went over the different types and how to identify it, this week I'm actually going to give you some actual tactical tips & tricks  that you can start implementing today !

You can also download my free ebook "5 Ways To Profit From Instagram" by going to beacons.page/nickelle and get it now !

Today I wanted to talk about a specific practical tips & tricks that you can start doing today so let’s cue the intro and we’ll get right to it ! So the reason I wanted to do this episode is because everywhere on clubhouse, Instagram and even tik tok I’ve seen people talking about this issue. What's interesting is that until recently I never even knew what impostor syndrome was and it was when I was listening in on a master class on mindset and they started talking about it and the symptoms and the feelings that go along with it where I could identify like oh, Wow that's what that is! It was kind of relieving because for the first time I actually had hope that there might be a way to get rid of it …now bad news is that I'll tell you right now there is no cure, however there are definitely some things you can do to not only lessen the intensity of the feelings, but actually use it as fuel to push you further towards your goals! The key is not allow it to completely derail you or paralyze you from taking massive action in your business or in your life! The 1st Step and I would say the most important is to be aware -- so being aware of when these impostor feelings creep up, what action brings them about, is it public speaking, is it reaching out to influencers, maybe it’s doing lives presentations whatever it is, you need to start identifying the trigger that causes your inner critic to start up, saying horrible things like you don’t know your material, you don’t look good enough, you voice sounds weird, everyone will make fun of you, the list goes on and after you’ve identified it I want you to take a journal and start by making a line down the center of the page and make sure that you’re jotting them down every day, so I do it when I also do my journaling so my nightly ritual is to journal even if its just one minute but this is so that you can start to have a record where you can look back and really pinpoint what it is that’s triggering your impostor to kick in. So writing down each one of these narratives that run in your head (i.e. I'm not good enough, I'm not doing enough, I'm not smart enough). After you get to the bottom of the page, which will be different for everyone and on the other side you need to write down the counterpart to your beliefs for instance "what if I was good enough, what if I was smart enough, what if I was able to travel around the world", you start rewriting these internal beliefs & you can start to shift your mindset from a negative perspective to a positive perspective. The only way that you're going to find out if you're able to accomplish things is if you don't give up if you don't quit and if you continue to just taking one step at a time in the right direction taking action towards your dreams your goals your mission whatever it may be. This is going to help build your confidence and elevate your self-doubt, Our minds are biofeedback because the more and more that you say I can't do this I won't do this or I'm not good enough or any of that stuff you're mind will do anything to ensure that reality is true essentially you're manifesting more negative to come, well duh no wonder you're stuck in a rut 'cause you continue to tell yourself that you are! To know the next step listen to the episode! Cheers!

    Imposter Syndrome? Okay, now what?

    Imposter Syndrome? Okay, now what?

You can download my FREE Book and course just click here or visit https://beacons.page/nickelle !

People think that successful people don't feel like impostors, but I think that the opposite is more likely to be true. Because the most successful people I know don't question themselves, but they do question their ideas, and their strategies. They know when the water is way too deep. They're not afraid to ask for some advice and they use that advice to hone in on their ideas. As long as you don't freeze, or let it paralyze you. Really it's about being aware of it. The feelings of Anxiety, perfectionism, self-doubt.

I know that the research shows that its more prevalent with people who grew up with domestic violence, physical abuse, alcoholic parent, verbal abuse so you try to prove that you’re good enough, competent enough, shun compliments, gluten for punishment, high stress jobs or lifestyles

I’m not as good as the people around me, most people are convinced that they’re not good enough.

Its like having a real crappy best friend who is in your head, once you’re aware of this voice you can actually call them out about their limiting beliefs, procrastinating or trying to compare to others.

If You have signs of imposter syndrome don’t panic. You may be struggling with some heavy feelings of worthlessness. You’ve also probably convinced yourself that you’ve fooled people into believing that you are competent and capable when really, you’re just faking it. You also may see yourself as acting your way through life and waiting for the shoe to drop when people discover who you really are. (Are we on to something here?) You’ve got some work to do.

Healing and confidence will come when you can look at the origins of your feelings (a therapist can help). This will allow you to move on to a more accurate and lasting sense of self. You will be better able to really internalize compliments and honest feedback from others and recognize where self-doubt is coming from when it pops up again in the future. Remember, you have gotten to where you are because, in the words of Stuart Smalley, “You’re good enough, smart enough, and doggone it, people like you.”

Many high achievers share a dirty little secret: Deep down they feel like complete frauds–their accomplishments the result of serendipitous luck.

This psychological phenomenon, known as imposter syndrome, reflects a belief that you’re an inadequate and incompetent failure despite evidence that indicates you’re skilled and quite successful.

Coach, mentor or consultant...Or all 3?

Coach, mentor or consultant...Or all 3?

Coach, mentor or consultant ? Or All three?

These terms can be often thrown around and used interchangeably, and yes I would say that all of them are used for the purpose of growth, either personally, professionally or financially.

Now, they all have their specific area of expertise a coach is usually someone who has a massive amount of knowledge or experience on a specific subject (i.e. NBA coach) and is used in a long-term relationship basis. Whereas a consultant is used for a very specific defined purpose or project and is more often than not on a short term or result based situation (i.e. social media agency). Now, a mentor is someone who has accomplished or is in the process of accomplishing that in which you want for your life. They have already went through the struggles you are currently enduring, they are also usually based on a mutually beneficial relationship, where both of you are gaining from the relationship.

I used to think that the only people who needed a coach were people who played sports or were training for the Olympics. I first learned about mentorship when I started in my first network marketing company and my upline was someone who was where I wanted to be and someone who had been in the trenches if you will, so she knew what it was really like and could offer me valuable advice.

Over the past year, I've learned that actually the most successful people in the world have a coach and they always have. Now, this was interesting to me and so I researched a little bit about the benefits one can assume would come from such an investment every year.

But the best thing I found was a 30 day challenge that offered a little bit of all three, coaching, mentoring and consulting! If you wanna go check it out and level up your business AND your life go to startchallengetoday.com and get a little taste before you go investing racks on racks!

Hope y'all got some value and see you next time! XOXO
