Record-breaking Submissions to Graders Good for the Hobby or Bad?; $3M Michael Jordan Logoman Card Sale; Plus What the Guys were "Dead Wrong" About
EPISODE 217 - Clark, Hyung, and John kick off the show by talking about the $3M sale of the Michael Jordan Logoman autograph card. And they play a quick game of "Would You Rather" with said card that sold on Goldin Auctions.
Then, for Hobby Headlines, the guys give their thoughts on the recent gemrate.com post about the record-breaking number of submissions to the top grading companies for the month of May. Is this a bullish sign for the hobby or are we entering Junk Slab 2.0?
Then Clark, Hyung and John keep each other accountable in the "Dead Wrong" segment where they share some of the things they were wrong about related to the hobby (for now at least.)
Lastly, they wrap up the show with their weekly segment "Pick 1" where the hosts put up two cards and then debate which they'd rather invest in.

Brent Weyer (aka deepvalueinvestor on IG) Returns and Talks Investing in the Most Important Cards of Players, Creating Boundaries on What to Buy, and "Future Nostalgia"; Playing Buy/Sell/Hold on Acuna
EPISODE 216 - Clark and Hyung open the show with a quick Buy/Sell/Hold segment off the top with such players as Ronald Acuna Jr. (ACL injury, out for the season), Shohei Ohtani (will there ever be a dip?), Luka Doncic (buy high?), and Anthony Edwards (sell now and cut losses?)
Then Clark welcomes back Brent Weyer (aka deepvalueinvestor on IG) to the show where he explains some of his recent IG stories about which sports cards he believes will be a good investment.
Brent also offers some great tips on how to figure out what's an important card for any given player as well as revisits his stance on choosing scarcity over grade. But he also discusses when grading does matter.

EPISODE 215 - Clark flies solo again for this Friday episode and gives a couple of updates on some hobby news including the arrest of a man charged with stealing the high-end vintage cards sent to the Best Western in Ohio.
There were two more men arrested and charged with fraud for trying to sell sports cards and Pokemon cards in fake PSA slabs, netting them about $2 million in the process.
Plus a story of a Blue Jays fan who got drilled by a foul ball, but ended up making thousands of dollars with the sale of her very own Topps Now baseball card.

PSA Getting Into The Consignment Business on eBay?; Fanatics + Perfect Game Deal Good for Young Athletes?; Why GameStop Buying/Selling Cards Is Good for the Hobby
EPISODE 214 - Clark, Hyung, and John kick off the show by first discussing the new Fanatics multi-year memorabilia deal with Perfect Game, the world’s largest youth baseball tournament and scouting service, and whether that's a big deal for future superstars or not.
Then, still off the top, the guys talk about the fact GameStop is getting into the business of buying and selling slabbed trading cards. Is this good for the hobby?
Next for Hobby Headlines, the guys give their initial thoughts on PSA essentially getting into the consignment business and what that could mean for collectors. They also compare fees from other top consigners to see how it stacks up with the PSA fee schedule.
Then Clark introduces a new segment called "Match Game" where he provides one list of various dollar values and then a second list of sports cards. Hyung and John are asked to match the cards with the aforementioned dollar amounts.

Darrell "DC" Chan Returns To The Pod and Talks Babe Ruth Goudey Pick-Up, Mind of a Vendor/Dealer at Card Shows, Flipping Strategy; Plus Which Baseball Cards to Sell/Hold Based on Player's Slow Start
EPISODE 213 - Clark and Hyung open the show by talking about some baseball players who have had a slow start or another injury and whether their rookie cards are a buy/sell/hold at the moment. Players discussed include Jackson Holliday, Jackson Chourio, Bo Bichette, and Mike Trout.
Then Clark welcomes Darrell "DC" Chan back to the podcast to talk about his experience as a vendor/dealer at the recent Sport Card Expo in Toronto as well as his preparation plans for The National coming up in July.
Clark also asks DC about his thought process whenever someone comes up to him asking to buy or trade, and what kind of cards he usually looks for.
