In this episode Los Angeles native, Coach Lemar Betts, a Black entrepreneur, talks about his non-linear career path and the stops in between being one of the few Black skaters in his neighborhood to “Bagger of the Year” to an accountant to owner of The Skateskide. We discuss how what seemed at the time to be setbacks actually prepared him and his wife to start The Skateside with a strong foundation. Through The Skateside, Coach Lemar and his team build communities and inspire many.
