LDRS 502 Final Reflection
Hello everyone,
This is Lucy. I am recording this podcast for my LDRS 502 final project. In doing this course, the major takeaways for me are to consider conflicts positively and to react and resolve conflicts effectively. Before taking this course, I strongly believe that conflicts are unhealthy and negative, so we should avoid them as much as possible. In fact, this kind of thinking is deeply ingrained in many people’s minds. Recalling back that when we were students, teachers often taught us that people should be humble and empathetic to reach a consensus and to avoid conflicts. Even though a conflict occurs, most teachers only focus on solving the conflict itself to avoid bigger problems but lack guidance and reflections about the problem-solving process. Therefore, since my future career is educational-related, after doing this course, I will reconsider that how to introduce the concept of conflicts to my students and how to teach them to react to the conflicts. -
